Transfers
Transferring domain names from one registrar to another can be a complicated business. Verinote has several years experience in this area and can advise you on the correct procedures to follow.
In some instances, we can act on your behalf to allow you to re-establish control and ownership of your domain.
We support the following principles in relation to domain name transfers:
- Where possible, we encourage clients to be the registered owners of their domains and to be the primary contact for renewal and administration tasks.
- We recognise that in some instances, clients prefer to have Verinote identified as the registrant. For example, a client may wish to remain anonymous and not have their contact details published in the public WHOIS database.
- In situations where a client has registered a domain name through a third party and is now unable to manage that name due to lost login details or loss of contact with the primary registrant, we advise contacting the registrar in the first instance. We have a standard letter template that we can provide you with for this purpose.
